Just wanted to wish you all a peaceful break and all success in 2012 and to thank you again for all the work, advice and help this year. The propex heater has been a great addition to the T5 and heats the interior in no
time. The remap was well worth doing too. It does everything you forecast and has improved fuel consumption by 25 to 30 percent. Dealing with GT campers has been nothing but a positive experience!

We had our T5 converted to Delux 4 berth standard (no roof bed) plus swiveling passenger seat etc etc and overall this was a very well finished off job and Tim
and Kathryn were very obliging in dealing with any last minute requests for additions etc, even housing our vehicle whilst it was waiting to be worked on.
It is good to know that in Batley you can get stuff done !!!!
Having had a 43 year old VW splitscreen camper which we loved and used a lot, we knew it was time to upgrade to a more modern, faster camper with a few more luxury items! So ‘Bertie’ was sold and then we met Tim at the Peterborough Campervan Show and had a good chat about the various ‘luxuries’ we wanted.
As Tim and his family were regular users of their campervan, he was able to provide loads of practical information. We provided the vehicle and Tim and his team tailored perfectly to our specification, which was the deluxe pack with heater, roof bed, solar panel, limo glass, curtains, fridge and cooker. They were also working to a very tight schedule as we wanted the camper to go to see ‘Tour de France’ and they pulled out all the stops and completed on time. We love our camper and have used it many times and looking forward to more trips.

I asked GT Campers to do my conversion work because of Tim’s obvious know-how, plus I also thought he was a bit of a perfectionist!. I asked for a three-seater RIB bench seat in the rear, as well as a couple of eco-friendly features – real sheep wool insulation and a solar panel on the roof. These were all firsts for GT Campers and Tim designed a custom interior with narrower furniture to accommodate the larger bed. I couldn’t be happier with the finished van and it’s been a pleasure to get out on the road and experience all the benefits of a great conversion.

We first met Tim and Kathryn at BusFreeze Stafford, at the time we were still looking for our base vehicle and were starting to research companies to carry out a conversion.
We were instantly impressed with the quality of the van we saw and the knowledge and advice we received. We then visited GT Campers at their workshop and further discussion confirmed our first impressions that we would get an excellent and good quality job done. As soon as we had found our T5 Transporter we contacted GT Campers to do the conversion. We decided on the deluxe four berth conversion including Reimo roof and RIB seats. We also had a diesel heater and roof rails fitted. We decided to have both driver and passenger swivel seats. We had windows fitted with privacy glass.
When we collected our finished van we were delighted with the end result. Everything was finished to a very high standard and Tim went through everything thoroughly. We were confident about how everything worked when we left and we immediately spent a very comfortable first night in our new van!
We are now looking forward to many more trips.

I would like to thank Tim, Kath and their team of perfectionists for the fantastic conversion of our T5 Van.
The van was one of our old work panel vans and was in a real sorry state, and had been in a crash and stood idle for over 6 months, it was minging!!!!We had a full conversion, incl. full kitchen, and Crash tested RIB seat/bed, new windows, wheels, roofbed, webasto night heater, solar panel, sound system, sat nav, tracker, alarm, carbon monoxide detector, the lot….. We also had lots of additional tweaks like engine re-map (now at 175BHP), sound proofing and insulation, colour coding of mirrors/handles, window tints to front windows, etc,etc
We visited the workshop a few times whilst the conversion was being done, there was always at least 3 vans on the go, at various stages of conversion….However, I must say, the gang was always on the ball, advising or asking exactly how we wanted the finishing look. Every aspect of the conversion was completed to a VERY HIGH standard. The van was even cleaned…. inside and out!!!!! And believe me it was absolutely filthy, I mean really honking!!
We took the van away after completion, Tim stated, “if you find anything your not happy with, I mean anything, call back in and we will sort it out”….well…we have only used the van once or twice over the last week or so, but as yet nothing to complain about
I wouldn’t hesitate on recommending GT Campers, there conversions are second to none and you always get service with a smile!!! I’ve seen many good conversions and many many bad ones too, but I would honestly say that the conversion on our van was/is probably the best I have seen to date. The materials used are quality and the precision engineered (CNC) furniture fits like a glove.
We are now about to take the van around the UK this summer and Europe over the winter, so I will be giving an update to how the fit out stands up to a pounding from my fat arse and 2 crazy jack russels, and I guess several of our mates…so watch this space…..
